Jerry Lind (31 de octubre 1937 en Duluth, Minnesota) es también conocido como el Barón von Lind. Es hijo del Barón Johann von Lind. Después de dejar las Fuerzas Armadas de los Estados Unidos en 1989, Lind asumió su nombre ancestral de "von Lind".

Von Lind comenzó su carrera artística como un joven aprendiz en una empresa editorial haciendo arte gráfico. Jerry Lind was born October 31, 1937 in Duluth, Minnesota, the fourth son of Alma and Hjalmar von Lind. His father Hjalmar was born the son of Baron Johann von Lind in a small town outside of Stockholm, Sweden.

With the exception of 18 years in the military he has devoted his life to art. Perfecting his artistic skills through the years in all phases of art profession.

He began as a young apprentice in a publishing firm doing graphic art and advancing through the years in fields of art direction, illustrator of magazine art, portrait painter, pinup artist for calendars and classical painting. Becoming nationally known as a wildlife, western, editorial, calendar and portrait painter.

President Ronald Reagan In recent years his art has achieved international recognition and can be seen on web sites all over the world. In past years he has done portraits of famous celebrities and stars. Working at one time for Paramount Studios, he painted such stars as Yul Brynner, Sophia Loren, Peter O'Toole, and many others. Most recently, he has done portraits of actresses, Shirley Jones and Elizabeth Taylor. One of the most prestigious personalities that he has painted over the years is the commissioned portrait of then President Ronald Reagan. The commissioned portrait of President Reagan is among his most revered.

Jerry had previously done a sculptured bust of the then Governor Reagan when he was in office in the state of California. In 1982 he was contacted by the White House to do an informal portrait of the President, which he eagerly accepted. Considering it such a real honor he made the portrait a gift to the Reagans.

The local newspaper where he lived at the time in Victorville, California ran a full-page story on the painting and the story behind it. The original hung in the White House during the President's term of office and is now located in the Reagan Museum in Simi, California.

Vintage Pinup Art In August 2002, 11 official postage stamps were issued by the Republic of Benin, West Africa in honor of the Baron's art. This recent tribute is just one of many in the artist's illustrious career. This accomplishment was noted in a front page article by The Proctor Journal and the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The artist continues his painting in Port St. Lucie, Florida where he reflects upon and savors the renewed interest in his art through out the world.
